I'm* not actually too  disheartened with the degree, there are some small things that bother me but having heard the complaints of others, I disagree with many of them.

For instance, the complaint about only doing things for Sunderland in the practice stories, first off, we're in Sunderland so it makes sense, and also, if you were to write the same story but for a newspaper in Newcastle or London, are you telling me that you would enjoy writing the story more?

• This course has opened up doors for me, for instance I am going on the radio, as part of the Sporting Heads team.

• I am also doing a blog about a subject I am very passionate about - netball :-]

All in all, despite taking a while to get off the ground, the degree IS worth doing!

*I just wish someone would teach me how to use an apostrophe properly...
